Women in the Warehouse: Melba Aldana

This month’s Woman in the Warehouse, Melba Aldana, takes pride in her unwavering dedication as a warehouse picker at Quality Custom Distribution (QCD) Miami. Melba joined QCD Miami in 2006, and over the past 14 years, she has proven herself as an invaluable team member.

In her role, Melba determines which boxes will be carried out by each loader and ensures that each truck load is organized to meet the highest performance standards. Committed to excellence, she meticulously helps plan the schedules, stops and routes of each truck.

Appreciative of QCD’s professional development opportunities, Melba emphasizes the transferable skills she gained while working in logistics. QCD not only champions Melba in her professional development for her role at work, but first and foremost, in her role as a mother.

“QCD feels like a family job, and the employees are celebrated by the company,” Melba shares. “Thanks to QCD, I have the best working hours to also be with my family.”

Melba encourages other women to inspire change, imparting her advice, “As long as you give it your all and more, the end product will always exceed expectations.”
