GSF Recognizes Associates During Driver Appreciation Week

This week marks America’s annual National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, honoring the 3.6 million professional truck drivers who make deliveries safely, securely, and on time, while also maintaining highway safety across the U.S. Throughout GSF’s distribution centers, facility teams have celebrated the respected roles and valuable contributions of their drivers this week.

“For their dedication to one of our economy's most challenging and essential professions, we salute all truck drivers on America’s roads and especially our own associates who support our company’s logistics fleets,” said Ryan Hammer, GSF Corporate Senior Vice President and President, Quality Custom Distribution (QCD). “We thank all of our QCD, GSF, and KanPak U.S. drivers for your commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, service, and safety today and always.”

During a special celebration with Chick-fil-A catering at QCD Indianapolis on Wednesday, Chick-fil-A leaders presented a Driver of the Year Award to Isaac Ritchison, who marks two years with QCD this month! To recognize just a few of the company’s many hard-working drivers, QCD leaders have shared their words of appreciation for some of their team members:

“Alex Freeman is ‘the driver of drivers’ and has set the bar very high for others. We credit much of the success of our new drivers and the retention we have been able to achieve to Alex’s involvement. He is extremely thorough and thoughtful in his work and is very well-liked by all associates. “Richard Friberg is a driver that goes out of his way to provide superior service for our customer. He is an active trainer for the dock to driver program. He has been very successful in the completed training of four warehouse associates to become great drivers for QCD Orlando. He holds himself to a high standard meeting our KPIs.
