QCD Chicago West and Phoenix Teams Earn 2022 "Best in Class" Awards

On February 15, during the GSF (Golden State Foods) 2023 Global Leadership Conference, associates from across the GSF family of companies celebrated the company’s highest internal honors, including 2022 "Best in Class" Awards for QCD Chicago West and QCD Phoenix. Ryan Hammer, GSF Corporate Senior Vice President and QCD President, presented the awards to QCD Chicago West General Manager Jay Lee and former QCD Phoenix General Manager Erik Bunte, who recently earned a promotion and transitioned into a new strategic procurement management role with the company.

An 11-year GSF tradition, the Best in Class Awards recognized the Phoenix team in the Diamond category for the second consecutive year, as the distribution center consistently maintained the highest standards across multiple years in innovation to support customers, safety, high audit scores, GSF Foundation participation, and associate engagement, development, retention, and recognition. QCD Phoenix also earned a 2022 Safety Improvement Award.

In the Platinum Best in Class. category, the Chicago West facility team earned its first-ever Best in Class Award for successful achievements in the areas of safety, associate survey scores, training and development, audit results, community involvement, supporting other QCD locations, and financial performance. Additionally, QCD Chicago West earned a 2022 Best Managed Fleet Award and Quality Focus Awards.
