QCD Kansas City Hosts Facility Tour for Foodservice Distribution Association Conference
During the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) Solutions Conference held in Kansas City, Missouri, in late September, QCD Kansas City welcomed more than 100 food distribution professionals into the 82,000-square-foot distribution center for a facility tour. Showcasing its last-mile distribution operations that support Starbucks stores in seven Midwest U.S. states, the QCD team provided an insightful look at its fleet and warehouse operations.
“With the IFDA community gathering in Kansas City, we seized the opportunity to partner with the Solutions Conference organizers to highlight the best practices, strong people-first culture, and industry-leading excellence that QCD delivers for our customers in the Kansas City market,” said Ryan Hammer, GSF Corporate Senior Vice President and President, QCD. “Thank you to the IFDA team, as well as Gus Golembiewski, Steve Marsh, and everyone at QCD who’s been involved in making this tour a success!”
At the IFDA Solutions Conference, more than 1,500 food distribution professionals gathered with renowned speakers, innovators, and disruptors to chart the future of food distribution. In addition to the QCD facility tour, the Solutions Conference agenda included workshops, learning labs, awards presentations, networking, an Executive Leadership Summit, and an Expo with 170 exhibitors.
“We are grateful to Ryan Hammer and the QCD team for opening their facility to IFDA Solutions Conference attendees,” said Mark Allen, IFDA President and CEO. “We were provided with a wonderful tour, showcasing their investments and capabilities to ensure a safe and efficient supply chain. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and are excited about our growing relationship with QCD.”
