Women in the Warehouse: Mallely Mendoza

Each quarter, GSF features a woman leader within the GSF family of companies, sharing her journey, insights and what it takes to succeed in this industry.

“QCD appreciates my work,” says Mallely Mendoza, a Warehouse Associate with Quality Custom Distribution (QCD) Indianapolis.

That’s how Mallely describes her positive work experience upon joining QCD just a year ago. With several years of operating equipment experience and hard work under her belt, she was excited for an opportunity to transition to a Warehouse Associate role at QCD Indianapolis. As she reflects on her short time at QCD, Mallely shares that, among other reasons, she appreciated the shift and fast-paced warehouse environment.

“I enjoy the culture at QCD. It’s great that the company appreciates their associates by ensuring we have competitive pay, great benefits, and additional perks, such as gifts, giveaways, and raffles to show team appreciation,” she explains.

A typical workday for Mallely consists of collaborating with team members and exercising full concentration to ensure success and high-pick accuracy in customer orders that she puts together. She particularly likes working together as a team to get the job done in a timely manner. Mallely feels grateful that GSF has been supportive of her work-life balance, as this allows her to spend more time with her daughters.

Mallely will continue to develop her skills, as QCD supports her career growth by challenging her to continuously improve. Looking ahead, she encourages other women to consider taking jobs in the industry as “it’s a growing industry, and it’s work that everyone can do.”
