Women in the Warehouse: Silvia Villasana

A dedicated Quality Custom Distribution (QCD) Denver team member, Silvia Villasana always offers to lend a helping hand to ensure her facility achieves success. Since joining QCD six years ago, she has served in various roles, such as Warming Selector, Freezer Selector, Dairy Selector, Auditor, and Lead. In her current role as a Warehouse Associate, she supports the freezer operations and assists all areas of the warehouse. Silvia lives by the company’s Creed and Values, demonstrating them day in and day out through her hard work.

"I love providing excellent service and products to our customers,” explains Silvia. "I’m happy to work at a company that allows me to do so every day.”

Before joining QCD, Silvia gained 17 years of experience with Mile High Specialty Foods in Denver, Colorado, honing her skills in the warehouse. She feels that QCD supports her career by offering detailed training, flexible scheduling, and supportive management. Silvia takes pride in her job and appreciates the family atmosphere created by the management team and her peers.

Encouraging other women to take initiative in their careers, she shares this advice: “Be focused, strong, consistent, and continue to learn daily. This industry offers development for women and shows that women are capable of anything a man can do.”
